The brief for this project was to take an en-suite, airing cupboard and hallway cupboard, take out the walls and create an en-suite and walk in wardrobe. After we completed a free bathroom survey we draw up the plans and the client called into our Louth to discuss them and select the products for the room. Once we had finalized the plans our engineers began by removing the existing suite, tiles, dividing walls and dispose of the rubbish.

With the room cleared we blocked up the existing doorway into hall, made the ceiling good and installed the new dividing wall. With this work done the plasterer skimmed the walls and ceiling and our electrician fitted a new socket and light in the wardrobe and installed the extractor fan, LED spot lights and switches for the ensuite.

Now we started to install the drainage for the wetroom, this also involved concealing the waste pipe for the basin in the wall and floor because it was a wall hung unit. The wetroom tray went in next, the Dukkboard system has a built in fall to allow it drain and comes with a waterproofing kit.

After the tray was installed we created a boxed section to house the Geberit toilet frame. To keep clean simple lines out fitted built the stud section up to the height of the window sil and when it was tiled continued the tiles and trims onto it. The pipe work fo the heated towel rail and basin was fitted to complete the first fix.

As part of the Dial a Tile family we have a massive choose and for this renovation the Windsor grey wall tiles were picked with the matching floor tile. A 10mm chrome square trim was used to give a sharp look to keep with the clean lines of the room.

The seconding fix started with the installation of the Aqualisa Visage digital shower and basket. After this the Roman Select went in, this screen has the has Roman Ultra Care which in our hard water area save a lot of time on cleaning.

The Ultimate Bathroom Protector on glass from Roman Showers

All Roman's Enclosures and Bath Screens are pre-coated with Roman Ultra Care, our own unique glass protection system. We strongly advise that you include Ultra Care in your specification. Pre-coated glass protection systems will always diminish in their effectiveness over time, depending on how often the shower is used and how often it is cleaned. Unlike other systems, Roman Ultra Care in a bottle can be used in tandem with the pre-coat to build up the effectiveness and make it stronger the more you clean.

Roman Ultra Care is an award winning bathroom protector and has a 10 year track record for successfully protecting Roman's extensive product range. When applied to the glass of an enclosure or bath screen it creates a chemical barrier which provides protection against the build-up of grime, limescale and stains. The protective barrier means water glides off the glass with ease. This results in the protected surface remaining easy to clean by simply applying a mild detergent and wiping with a damp cloth or using a Roman Shower Blade.

To finish the room the toilet was hung and flush plate fitted. Our engineers then put the Novum wall hung basin unit with matching illuminated cabinet. To keep things tide we install a shaver socket inside the wall unit so when thing are on charge they are out of site. The heated towel rail went up and with the addition of the a door stop and lock the room was finished. To find out how we can help with your renovation contact us on 01472 35 99 80.
