Part of the brief for this project included moving the drainage outside from the back of the house to the side. This is to allow an extension to be built at the back of the property. With this in mind we began designing the room with a large walk in shower, corner bath, wall hung basin unit and compact W/C. The customer called into our showroom to finesse the design and borrow samples. Light can affect the way a tile, vanity, panel looks, so it is important to see this finishes in the room before making a final decision. After all of the colours and finishes had been select, we arranged an installation date.

Our engineers began by removing the existing suite, tiles and disposing of all the rubbish. After we had lifted the floor we installed the waste pipe for the Elements stone resin shower tray so it could be installed flat to the floor.

Due to the length of this walk in shower we installed the Touch dual function shower valve in the middle of the shower area. This means the shower can be turned on without having to go into the shower area. Our fitters then recessed the pipework for the basin and the cable for the mirror so it could not be seen after tiling. After the pipe work had been first fixed we started tiling. To give a contrast the decor tiles were used on two walls and a more neutral metro tile was fitted to the other walls.

We all want our bathroom to look incredible but we don't what to be in there every five minutes cleaning. The Select Wetroom panel has got you covered with its Ultra Clear system. Reducing the amount of limescale build up Ultra Clear is making life easier in this hard water area.

To make the toilet as neat as possible our fitters sunk the waste pipe into the floor so a full back to wall pan could be used. The Curve close coupled back to wall pan makes cleaning simple by coving the pipework. From there the bath and basin where installed.

For the floor Karndean's Palio Clic flooring was used. This versatile flooring range comes in a multitude of different colours and finishes. Also for maintenance Palio Clic is excellent because it can be simple lifted up and relaid after. This durable flooring is easier to clean, warm under foot and quieter than tiles.

To create a different look for the heated towel rail the TT in beige quarts was chosen to complement the tiles. Another benefit of going with a powder coated heated towel rail is that they are more thermally efficient than chrome rails.

No bathroom is complete with a mirror but it's a nightmare when they steam up, no problem for the Lunar illuminated mirror. This mirror comes with a heated demister pad as well as the LED light and touch sensor switch.

To complete the room we installed the towel ring, door stop and accessories. Call in today to find out how we can make your dream bathroom a reality.
