Keystone shower room
For this project we were asked to create a room with matching tiles wall and floor, storage and an open feeling. After we had completed the Free Survey we began planning the room. There were a couple of unique problems with this room, the toilet waste pipe was exposed in the room and there was no window as the room was in the middle of the property. To overcome these challenges we created a boxed section behind the toilet to hide the pipework and house the cistern. We also suggested a wall hung basin unit to help create a feeling of space and a walk in shower because it has less framework.
Our installers started by laying dust sheets through to the room and began ripping out the existing suite, tiles and we disposed of all the rubbish. With a blank canvas our engineers built the boxed section to house the cistern and toilet waste. As we service all of our installations we used the Geberit system so if there is a problem in the future we can service the cistern through the flush plate. The MX stone resin shower tray went in next on leg pack. We need the leg pack to raise the height of the shower tray to allow for the waste pipe.
Our engineers moved onto the basin next by recessing the hot, cold and waste pipes into the wall to create the floating look.
We installed the Keystone tiles and because of the porcelain construction they are tough enough to be used on the walls and floor. With the tiling completed the Roman Select shower screen was fitted along with the radiator. To complete the renovation the Utopia wall hung unit went in with the illuminated mirror.
