English Sage Wetroom

For this project the brief was to create a light and spacious room with storage and was easy to keep clean. After our initial visit to take the dimensions, look at the drainage and generally assess the room we produced several plans. Due to the size of this room we had a lot of options with the lay out and products that could be used. After consultation with the client settled on the wetroom design because of its easy to access and offers storage with the vanity units. Our installer started by removing the existing suite, tiles, studwork, ceiling and disposing of all the rubbish. The ceiling was then re-boarded, plastered and a new loft access was fitted. We then started to excavate the floor so the drainage could be laid and the wetroom tray fixed in place. The Dukkaboard Wetroom systems give a relieable and water tight installtion to ensure your room stands up to the day to day rigers of a family bathroom. After the tray was in the tanking kit was applied to waterproof the area before tiling.
Before commencing the tiling our engineer chopped the pipework into the wall so it would look flush and neat after tiling. The vanity units were also first fixed at this point. The Utopia units give valuable storage space and hide the pipework for the basin and toilet, making it easy to clean round.

To create a feature for the wall tiles we created two 30cm vertical panels running from floor to ceiling. As we used the same mosaics for the shower this broke up the plainness of the wall tiles without making it look to cluttered. After the tiling had been completed we fitted the Roman Select shower screens to define the area. These screens have Romans protected glass which is a must in our hard water area. To finish the shower, heated towel rail, basin and toilet were all fixed in please.
