Definity Shower Bath

Definity shower bath
This renovation had a couple of challenges, the room does not have a window so it was important to get the lighting right and itself was quite compacted. To make the most of the space we suggested a square shower bath and runs of slimline furniture. White gloss tiles were also selected to create the illusion of space.

To begin our engineer removed the existing suite, tiles and disposed of all the rubbish. From there he installed the square shower bath which maximizes the space for showering. This coupled with the Aqualisa Visage digital shower gives an invigorating and comfortable showering experience. Also by keeping a fully length bath means that when the bath is used they have the space to relax.

During the first fix our Part P qualified electrical installer called to fit the cables in the walls for the illuminated mirror, shaver socket and plinth lights. lighting is key in this room because it does not have a window. The plinth lights offer a soft effect to help you relax with a soak and a glass of wine at the end of a long.
As the tiles are white gloss the client selected a ripple effect feature to have above the bath. This breaks up the the plainess and stops the room from feeling cold and clinical. Our engineer installed "No More Ply" flooring reinforcement before fitting the floor tiles, this was to prevent any movement and make sure the rooms as good in twenty years time. The floor tiles were predominantly white but with quartz flecs to reflect the other surfaces and finishes in the room.

To give extra storage in the room Utopia slimline fitted furniture was used. As white tiles were being fitted it meant we could be a bit bolder with the colour selection for the units. The English Sage finish give a great contrast to the tiles and the addition of a white worktop with quartz flakes in it complemented the floor tiles.
Once the tiling had been completed our engineer began the second fix. This started with the installation of the worktop, semi counter top basin and tap. The pinth and bath panel followed with bathroom suitable LED lights. The shower was mounted and the screen went up to complete the shower area and with install of heated towel the room was completed.
